The one-tank dive is open to anyone who is properly trained to hunt lionfish with spears or nets, from tourists taking scuba diving holidays in Grand Cayman, to local divers and volunteers. The event have token place on Saturday 28th January, 2012 and is in partnership with Fosters Food Fair who has contributed $20,000 towards the scuba diving expenses. The captured fish will go on sale in the fish market at local Fosters Food Fair on Monday morning along with a percentage of the fish sold will go towards an operational fund that could help pay for the monthly lionfish dives.
